With Jazzercise 5 times a week and a diet change (cut out most red meat and way down on saturated fat) I lost the 30 extra pounds and, like you, am wearing clothes from the back of the closet. That visual helped me learn what was in the food I was eating and inspired me to make better choices. Before starting, I felt like an old man, 30 pounds over my high-school weight, slouchy and only exercising once a week or so. Seeing what I was consuming daily was an eye opener. This was huge for me because not only did I feel less bloated, but my joints also felt better and I could taste food properly again when I wasn't swallowing everything with soda. I also made small changes that were super impactful, like cutting out diet soda. This approach to eating helped me lose a significant amount of weight. I didn't feel like I couldn't have the foods I enjoyed–I just had to adjust them a bit. Following a low-carb diet helped me eat foods besides salads all day. I had tried every diet out there, and I knew this time if I wanted to keep the weight off and succeed, I needed to actually like the foods I was eating. In that moment, I knew I wanted to change my life. If that wasn't bad enough, once I arrived in LA, my rideshare driver was helping me with my bags and asked how long until I had my baby.
